How to look after your new hair between visits

Wash two to three times a week with a gentle, sulphate-free shampoo and lukewarm water, condition only the lengths, dry gently on low heat and keep your maintenance visits every few weeks. You can train, swim and sleep as normal.
Your new hair is real hair, so looking after it isn't complicated. A few simple habits keep it looking fresh between maintenance visits.
How often should you wash it?
- Wash two to three times a week with a gentle, sulphate-free shampoo.
- Use lukewarm water, not hot.
- Work the shampoo through in the direction your hair falls, without scrubbing.
- Rinse thoroughly.
How do you condition it?
- Condition the lengths, not the base or the edges.
- Rinse well so no product is left near the bond.
How do you dry and style it?
- Pat dry with a towel — don't rub.
- Use a low heat setting and keep the dryer moving.
- Choose light styling products. Heavy waxes and oils can loosen the bond at the edges.
Can you go to the gym and swim?
You can train and swim as normal. Rinse with fresh water after swimming in a pool or the sea, and wash after heavy workouts.
Can you sleep normally?
Sleep as normal. Try not to go to bed with soaking-wet hair, and a silk or satin pillowcase helps reduce friction.
When should you message us?
- An edge feels loose or starts to lift.
- Your scalp feels itchy or uncomfortable.
- The colour no longer looks like your own hair.
